A lifting beam is an intermediate means of gripping a load in the form of a beam or channel, a special design made of steel grade 3, article 20. The product is installed between the crane suspension and the lifting gear (removable lifting devices - slings, clamps), which is used to secure and move the load.

Application and purpose of lifting beams

Lifting beams are used in construction, during the installation and repair of industrial equipment, moving and stacking of various materials in warehouses, manufacturing plants, etc. A lifting beam is used when it is necessary to grip, lift and move large and long structures (column, load-bearing beam, rails and rail and sleeper grids, pipes, reinforcement packages and other material). The main purpose of lifting beam is to evenly redistribute the load pressure at the points of its attachment, as well as to prevent the effects of compressive and tensile forces when moving various materials.

1. Lifting beams with center suspension.

The lifting beam of this design is a beam reinforced with metal sheet plates, with an eyelet (09G2S steel) welded on top in the middle for hanging on a crane hook. The load is fixed through lifting hooks, brackets, grippers with slings, which in turn are attached to the lower suspension, which is made in the form of movable or fixed eyes. We recommend ordering this type of linear traverse in cases where it is necessary to move cargo in a limited space (covered warehouses, production halls, etc.).

2. Lifting beams with two mounting points.

The lifting beam of this design is indispensable for gripping, lifting and moving loads with a shifted center of gravity. The material of manufacture is rolled sections: channel, beam, pipe. Gripping is carried out by the upper lugs using two-branch slings. To adjust the length of the branches, we recommend ordering chain slings with hook stops.

Lifting H-beam is an intermediate lifting device that is located between the crane suspension and the load gripper. The lifting beam is used for lifting and moving bulky, long and heavy loads. Spatial beams are used to lift and move building structures, lathes, metal pipes, rails, industrial and technological equipment of factories and plants.

The load is secured to the beams by means of load-gripping slings and special types of grippers, depending on the nature of the product being lifted: magnetic rail, pipe, etc.

Types of lifting H-beams and design features

The type of beams is determined at the design stage, depending on the overall dimensions and characteristics of the load to be lifted.
Regardless of the design, the spatial beam successfully copes with tensile and compressive loads, and also makes it possible to evenly distribute the weight of the goods being moved. We provide a 12-month warranty for the beams.

1. Lifting H-beams.

Designed for lifting long, bulky loads in a limited height space. The load is secured simultaneously at 4 points using textile or any other slings hooked to the rigging components of the beam (hooks, brackets). Lifting beams are used as a load-gripping device for lifting and transporting pipes, rolled metal products, building structures, industrial and machine tools over short distances at production and industrial facilities. Thanks to its design features and a smaller slinging angle, the H-beam allows lifting various loads by the central welded eyelet, which is fixed to the hook suspension of the crane. The lower suspension is presented in the form of fixed or removable hooks, brackets, links or special grippers.

2. Lifting frames.

This is a special type of product designed for lifting bulky and heavy loads that are secured by at least 4 load-gripping points. These can be cargoes that are transported by sea and land for various areas of production and industry. The frame-type spatial frame is a rigid metal structure that can be designed in a collapsible form at the request of the Customer. The cargo is attached to the frame beam using “spiders” - chain or textile 4-branch slings. Special clamps (magnetic, vertical for sheet steel, for rails and rail and structural steel, etc.) can also be used to lift the load. The device can be equipped with various rigging components for ease of operation as agreed with the Customer. The main advantages of the lifting frame are the ability to safely move loads with a shifted center of gravity without using slings. The disadvantage of the lifting frame is the restriction on the height of the load.
