Buy textile webbing slings in Poland.
In recent years, textile slings have taken the lion's share of the market for removable load securing devices (RLDs), replacing more expensive, somewhat inconvenient and impractical rope or chain slings.
Compact, flexible, lightweight and inexpensive, webbing slings are used for lifting and transporting valuable, fragile and soft-bodied goods, products and structures with painted and polished surfaces. Textile slings are in demand at construction sites for lifting building materials, in repair and mechanical workshops for moving workpieces to machines, loading painted metal structures, pallets, etc. Textile slings are used to move equipment, machine tools, machine parts, as well as other types of cargo that can be damaged by steel cable or chain slings.
According to the EN 1492-1 standard, textile slings are made of color-painted virgin webbing with a 7:1 safety factor and a width of 50 to 300 mm. The specific color corresponds to a certain webbing width and load capacity. The locks of the webbing sling are sewn using a special algorithm of durable threads on robotic sewing machines.
Basic designs of webbing textile slings
In 75% of cases, textile webbing slings are manufactured in the standard of single sling design (textile sling with soft eyes), and less often in the endless design. Referring to international experience, manufacturers of lifting equipment offer slings of special designs:
- a single sling with a rigging hook for securing loads to stationary mounting points;
- a single sling with a choker hook installed at the end to allow for choker hitch;
- two-leg and four-leg textile webbing slings, or as they are also called, «spiders».
Important! When lifting a load, the webbing sling may stretch up to 4% of its original length.
Features of the use of webbing slings
When using webbing slings, observe the following rules to help extend the service life of the removable load carriers and to prevent accidents for slingers and bystanders:
1. Visually inspect the sling for damage at least once every 10 days and immediately before use. If any damage is detected that may affect the product's specifications, the sling must be removed from service.
2. Do not lift clamped, «dead» loads and loads whose mass exceeds the rated load capacity of the detachable load gripping device. Before use, make sure that the weight of the load to be lifted does not exceed the sling capacity.
3. To extend the service life of the detachable load grippers and prevent the polyester webbing from being frayed by the load, we recommend using special protective covers, rubber pads, and plastic corners.
4. Do not use slings at temperatures above + 100 °C. Keep the load securing products clean in a dry, ventilated area, away from sources of fire and ultraviolet radiation.
5. Do not expose the sling to aggressive liquids, chemicals, solvents and other liquids that can cause damage and rapid failure of the textile sling. If the material is exposed to an aggressive environment, have the sling checked by the manufacturer.
