range of 2-18 mm.

Polypropylene cords are made of non-hygroscopic flexible synthetic material with a density of 0.91 g/cm3.

Advantages:

• increased electrical insulation capabilities;

• resistant to acids and solvents;
• practically does not absorb water without losing strength characteristics when wet;

Disadvantages:

• low thermal stability (melting point 165 °C);
• high tensile strength under load (18-20%).
