These externally lubricated wire ropes (cables) are load-bearing elements used for hoisting and transporting machines (automobile, railway, tower, bridge, gantry, ship, portal cranes) and rope extensions. Structurally, a double-stranded steel rope of the construction of 6x36 consists of a metal core and six identical strands with linear wire contact. The rope can be produced in both right and left handed braids.
